    how to rack in 8-ball

    hey everyone i've just started playing pool and been slowly getting into the sport. i've been wondering about the racking of the balls in 8-ball. is there a standard in racking other than a striped and solid ball in each corner and 8 ball in center? i've heard you're not supposed to have more than 3 of the same type of ball touching each other. is this true?

    8-ball in the center, stripe on one corner, solid on other for BCA and WPA rules, others at random.
