Another thing that you might want to change, is the display font size.
If you go to "My Home", and then click on the "Edit" link for 'Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors...' the second dropdown menu (stylesheet) will let you select 10 or 12 pt font.

Dr. D ...Heater is right, give it a chance ...set your preferences, it is a lot easier to read everyones messages and replies (especially in Flat format).
