World Pool Masters, Predator 10-Ball Rounding into Shape for BCAPL Jamboree
Mar 18, 2008, 1:04 PM

Multiyear titleholder Ralf Souquet will return to the WPM.
The World Pool Masters, one of two professional pool events that will run along side the BCA Pool League's National 8-Ball Championships, has a full roster for the 16-player field.

The single-elimination Partypoker.net World Pool Masters — set for May 9-11 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. — will be held in the United States for the first time in its 15-year history. Accordingly, the player list is dominated by European stars, including last year's champion Thomas Engert of Germany.

The Americans will have only three players in the mix, with Shane Van Boening, Rodney Morris and Corey Deuel schedule to compete.

The BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships, a massive amatuer pool tournament that draws thousands of players from across the country, will run from May 8-16 at the Riviera.

After the World Pool Masters, the Predator International 10-Ball Championship will take place May 12-17. The BCAPL and Dragon promotions have agreed to relocate the 10-ball event, held last year in Florida as the "Predator World 10-Ball Championship."

This year's event, sponsored by Diamond Billiard Products, will attract some stars from the World Pool Masters roster, with the events running back-to-back.

The World Pool Masters, produced by Matchroom Sport, will feature:
Mark Gray (England)
Imran Majid (England)
