Back for Return Engagement: Midwest Billiard Expo & Open Sep 2, 2004, 10:10 AM
After a successful debut in 2003, the Midwest Billiard Expo & Open will return Oct. 6-10 to the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Ill., with an ambitious schedule of tournaments and extracurricular activities. The tournament action will include open and women's 8-ball and 9-ball events, with a $15,000 prize fund (based on fields of 256 for the open events and 96 for the women).
Entry fees are set at $50, or $75 at the Expo. The victors in each of those four events will receive four-day trips-for-two to the Bahamas. Players also can enter one-pocket, banking, seniors and juniors events, as well as nightly mini-tournaments. A golf outing on Pheasant Run's acclaimed 18-hole course will kick off this year's Expo on Oct. 6, and will feature pool pros including Earl Strickland and Rodney Morris. The entry fee of $125 per golfer will in part help fund future juniors events and activities at the Expo.
